Spectrum PETG FR V0 is a new halogen-free, flame-resistant 3D printing material based on the ever-popular PETG. PETG filament is a thermoplastic polymer from a group of polyesters in the form of fibre, used for 3D printing using the FFF method. PETG filament, also known as Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol, is a co-polyester known for its durability and ease of use. Filament PETG has the rigidity and mechanical properties of ABS but is still easy to print like PLA.

Spectrum PETG MATT is a PETG-based material with a chemical composition modified so that it is possible to obtain matte surfaces of printed objects. The matte finish of printed items considerably improves their aesthetic properties and also minimises the visibility of layers on the side surfaces of printed items.

In addition, Spectrum PETG MATT maintains all the features of PETG-based classic polymers, i.e., easy and highly efficient printing, low shrinkage and very good adhesion between layers and also between the build platform and printed object. Further, the use of admixtures has improved temperature resistance, and impact resistance and lowered the brittleness of printed items.

The PETG material is essentially the same as the known PET material from which PET bottles are made. The G in the acronym PETG stands for Glycol which is added during the manufacturing process. Glycol modifies the properties of PET so that it’s easier to print and less brittle. It is a strong and tough material, which is characterized by good thermal stability. Thanks to the small shrinkage during printing, it is suitable for printing large objects. PETG has mechanical and thermal properties better than ABS and bears the printing properties of PLA.
